About The Theatre

The Black Dahlia Theatre is a not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to the development and production of new plays by both established and emerging writers.

Past honors include: “Best Small Theatre” in Los Angeles Magazine, a “local treasure” in the L.A. Weekly’s “Best Of” Issue, and one of “a dozen young American companies you need to know” by American Theatre Magazine. The Dahlia was honored with the Polly Warfield Award from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle in recognition of an “Excellent Season in a Small to Mid-Sized Theatre.”
